body power

Today I worked with Gillian on the body power lab. We only took down Gillian's body weight and she did all the exercising. We worked well and efficiently together. I guess we will probably be doing some kind of exercise in mission to mars.

curious magnets

today i worked with Hannah and Unity on curious magnets. I got kind of frustrated with how the magnets would not come apart, but we did pretty well and got past that. I have no idea what this has to do with mission to mars, but we basically just taped magnets to a ruler.

Heat shield

Today I worked on heat shield lab wit gabby and Unity. We had five different shields for our space ship. The times were, 22 sec., 9sec, 1:05min, 1:17min, and our longest was 1:22min. I think we were very efficient and we did finish everything. This has to do with mission to mars because we need to know how much heat our space ship can withtake and how long it will last through that heat.

Measuring Sound

Today I worked with Cece on the lab called measuring sound or something like that. We noticed that the more times the wire was rapped against the nail the hotter the nail got and the more negative mt. We did not get to the second part and I did not get the first part which is what made this lab really frustrating. I also do not know what this had to do to mission to mars.

Impact Craters Lab

Today Sam and I worked on the Impact Craters Lab. I fell like we worked really and got really far because we got to the point where you are supposed to draw conclusion. The conclusion I drew was that the higher you dropped the ball from the deeper the crater. We did keep the mass and the gravity the same. The higher you drop something from the more gravitational potential energy it has and when it drops Kinetic energy helps determine how big the crater is and that is what we notices. I am not sure what this has to do with mission to mars.

Moters

Today Honore, Jackie, and i worked on the lab called Moters. First we cut wire, then spireled it around a piece of straw, atached it to a battery and watched nothing happen. So basically we finished eercise one, but the results were non excitant. I think we were all kind of distracted though. I dont know what this has to do with mission to mars.

Mini Culmination part 2

so on Friday we did another mini culmination and we had two labs before that to prepare. I thought my group did better and the communication was defiantly better, you could defiantly tell the difference. Clara and Alice were gone this time, but we knew in advance that they would be so we prepared for that. This time Maddy and I ended up working on the launcher together. I think we did very good working together, we worked together last time to but i say we did even better this time. overall, i think everybody was positive and helped make things go better the second time.
